Known for its sedative qualities, myrcene is commonly used as a sleep aid. The scent of myrcene resembles cloves, containing earthy and musky notes.
Pinene
Taken from its namesake, pinene has a pine scent and is thought to boost memory performance. Pinene terpenes are also thought to instill a sense of euphoria and increased alertness.
Caryophyllene
Caryophyllene has a spicy and peppery profile, containing anti-inflammatory properties. It is also commonly used as an antifungal, antiseptic and antibacterial treatment.
Terpinolene
Terpinolene contains a combination of scents, a mixture of pine, floral, and a hint of citrus. It contains antioxidant properties and can induce minor drowsiness, while also reducing anxiety.
